An encore after last year! Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar''s daughter and Anoushka Shankar''s stepsister Norah Jones has, once again, created a buzz at the Grammies. Norah won four Grammies at the recent awards ceremony, including awards for the Record of the Year and Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for Here We Go Alone, with Ray Charles.
Besides, Norah''s song Sunrise, from her album Feels Like Home, won the award for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

"It was a joyous moment seeing Geetu (Norah) on TV winning the Grammies. It is very creditable that she got a Grammy for the duet Genius Loves Company with Ray Charles. We are proud of her," says Pandit Ravi Shankar.

Anoushka, whom Norah met for the first time after 16 years, reveals that the two sisters are very close and share a lot of common interests. "Of course I''m thrilled that Norah has done so well at the Grammies again. More important than the awards is the fact that she has been fortunate enough to record beautiful music with a musician as amazing as Ray Charles. We all love his music, and I know how much this project means to my sister. That she also won in the Female Pop Vocal category for her own song is a matter of pride for all of us," says Anoushka.
